I tried to sleep late but I finally rolled my aches and pains out of bed about 6:30, watched the early morning news...we're under a burn ban in our whole area because of the dryness and high winds...squirmed around on the couch and finally got up to find the kitchen sink is stopped up. That's always nice. I fried some ham left over from last night and left it out for the others to wander by and get, put some laundry on, and decided to look around here and catch up on my reading. It's nice and quiet, my husband and son have already gone to shop for shrubs or trees or something. I don't care what they pick out, I love all plants, but they're doing the hole digging. We have a piano recital thing to do but that's not until later in the afternoon and I'll pick up a few things at the grocery store afterwards.

I've been reading about the new Invasion comic series. I'll have to see if I can subscribe to it since our comic store closed up and left about 2 years ago. I don't think I've seen them anywhere else, all that's left is a used bookstore and another that caters to people who turn their noses up at things like comic books. The owner doesn't even order any of the Star Wars novels, he says there's no one who would buy them. I told him I guess I'd have to find me another bookstore then. I got the impression that because HE didn't like that kind of book that he didn't think any of his customers should read them either.

I was so glad it was Friday and that I was finished with work by 3:30 that I thought I'd just dissolve into tears. It hadn't necessarily been a bad week but just difficult with a lot of unexpected things both at work and at home. Basically I was just bone tired. I tried to nap a couple of times during the evening but never could relax. So I gave up and cooked a bigger meal than I'd planned, ham, my special rice, broccoli with lots of cheese, and a big noodle salad filled with wonderful things. Carb hell. I even invited my sister over to eat with us, I was feeling that generous.:)

I watched The Clone Wars, shocked that I got to see it the first time around instead of a rerun. It was an excellent episode with lots of clones, Obi-Wan, and Twi'leks. Usually I prefer Anakin but I really liked the two new clones, Boil and Waxer. They were the ones who found the little Twi'lek girl, I love that part and want to catch a rerun to see it again. Afterwards, I swapped to Sci-Fi and caught an old favorite, Moonlight. It's funny how you view characters differently when you don't see them for a while. Then, sometime between the end of Moonlight and the couple of minutes before Battlestar Galactica came on, I went to sleep. I just woke up a few minutes ago, scrunched up on the loveseat and now I hurt all over and had to take ibuprofen. I think maybe I'll read a while. I closed my eyes and picked "Dark Journey" out of the shelf. I think it came not too long after "Star by Star" but I'm not sure I read all of it...

Hello, my poor, abandoned, lonely journal. I've once again left you for the horrible, cruel, cold world on to come running back to you.

It's been a weird day...

I'm sick of cold and winter's just now getting started good here. I need a new coat or heavy jacket but am reluctant to buy something I won't wear but a few weeks.

I changed jobs, did I tell you? No, I didn't did I. This one has a slight pay cut from the other but it's worth it. Nice people to work with, I know what needs to be done, nobody hassles anybody about anything. A big difference.

Now if I could just get my weird personal life on track...

I think tonight's Supernatural rerun ranks among my top favorites, not exactly for the story but because of Sam Winchester's face when confronted by the dreaded clown chair. And didn't Dean rub it in. Sweet boys. Poor Dean though. Hurting so bad that he had to hurt the Impala. And the passage of time has not made me miss Jo the least little bit. Now Ellen's OK, she has that special something. I could accept her being paired up with one of the boys dispite the age difference. She could pull it off. But Jo grates on my nerves though I really can't give a good reason why.

I've heard there are supposed to be a couple of Supernatural books out later in the year. Anybody heard about them?

I'm curious about the Hex show that's going to be on BBC America. It looks interesting but I don't really understand what the plot is supposed to be. Is that one of the Robin Hood guys I'm seeing on it?

Off to bed now. I've a lot to accomplish tomorrow and not much time to do it in so I'd better be rested.

I feel like I've been run over by a truck. I'm on my lunch break and I really don't want to go back to work but I have to 'cause everything's just left hanging. Just put me to sleep until whatever I have has gone away.

And I can't seem to get along with anybody lately. And I haven't done anything! But when people start being mean and grouchy around me...then I have a tendancy to start being mean and grouchy back.

I just need a little time by myself...completely ALONE.

Do you know that when I leave my house this morning, I will not be back home until almost midnight tonight? And I don't want to go and I'm tired and sleepy and have unfinished work and my kitchen looks like a bomb went off in it. I'm seriously thinking of running away and finding a hole to sleep in. Sigh. It won't happen but it's nice to consider it for a few minutes before reluctantly pulling myself back to the real world again.
